Conceived during a time of change and uncertainty, this series of drawings is a response to words such as shatter and explode. Multiple sharp edges appear to be fractures in the otherwise organic forms. Color radiates like light, contributing to the dynamic energy of the work. While the compositions suggest that the forms are breaking apart, the image is also intentionally built up – the repetitive marks create a steady, deliberate, underlying rhythm.
